The Get Babied! Get Yoga! program welcomes you to our diverse offerings.

All classes are in the main classroom at the Get Babied! Doula Collective, conveniently located in central Austin at 1825 E 38 1/2 st. 78722.  Bring a yoga mat, a blanket and water.  All classes do not require registration – they are drop in – so just come on down!  If you’d like to RSVP, you are most welcome to at doulas@getbabied.com so we can look for you, but coming by is just as good.   All classes are $10, bring cash, check, or pay online and bring your receipt. We also offer a 4 class pass discounted pre-pay option, pay online, bring your receipt to your first class and your instructor will give you three additional passes for future use.

Saturdays 10am-11am – Prenatal Yoga with Sherrian

Prenatal Yoga provides a safe and calming environment for pregnant women to nurture their bodies and to connect with their baby during this wondrous time of life. This class will help improve balance, circulation, and toning while promoting relaxation by utilizing yoga postures modified for the needs of each trimester, yogic breathing and guided relaxation techniques. All of these tools can help you during pregnancy and beyond.  The deep breathing you will learn will be a huge help when it’s time to give birth. Get to know other expectant mothers and become a part of a community of future moms.  This class is appropriate for all levels of students.

Saturdays 11am-12pm – Postnatal Yoga with Sherrian

This hour long class is designed to build a circle of women sharing the journey of Motherhood through yogic techniques. It will include movement, breathing techniques, relaxation, and musings on the journey of birth and Motherhood.  Babes in arms welcome.

Tuesdays 11am-12pm – Mommy & Me Yoga with Sherrian

Join us in a fun interactive yoga class designed for both you and your little one to move and have a good time!  Each class is made so that your little one can share in a yoga activity or song with mommy.  It is just as entertaining for baby as it is for mommy! Yoga class is a wonderful time and space to bond with your child and to connect with other mommy’s.  The babies also love to see each other!

Teaching since 2001, Sherrian McClung, MBA, 500 RYT, Yoga Therapist and Teacher and owner of PureYoga and Wellness, has over 2500 hour of yoga training and is certified in Viniyoga, Hatha yoga, Pre/Postnatal yoga, Qigong, Usui Reiki, BodyFlow, CPR, with certificates in Radiant Child yoga and Mind Body Stress Reduction (MBSR).

 

Participating consistently in a yoga class designed for the unique needs of pregnancy and motherhood can positively affect the health of you and your baby physically, mentally, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually. Yoga allows you to experience a happier, healthier pregnancy; helps you regain control of your body afterward, and deepens and nurtures the bond between mother and child. The simple use of linking attention with breath and movement and intention has huge transformative potential to manifest positive change within you. Sherrian continues to be deeply moved by the practice of yoga.
