2 Hour Prenatal Appointment $50

The 2 hour prenatal appointment can be conducted privately, or are part of our monthly Centering appointments.  Topics to be covered include: Personal Needs Assessment Discussion, Birth Plan Development, Breathing techniques for labor, Labor Comfort Measures, Labor Positions.


1 hour prenatal appointment $25

Schedule a private prenatal appointment with one of our doulas.  Select two of the following four options to cover in your one hour appointment: Personal Needs Assessment Discussion, Birth Plan Development, Breathing techniques for labor, Labor Comfort Measures, Labor Positions.


Accompany to Care Provider Visit $30

One of our doulas will meet you at a scheduled prenatal appointment to introduce themselves to the doctor.  She will be there to go over your birth plan with your doctor together as a team.  She will answer any questions the doctor may have about our scope of practice, and also hand the doctor a doula scope of practice form for their reference.


Postpartum Appointment in Client’s Home $30

The doula present at your delivery will come to your home within a week from delivery.  This is a one hour visit and includes birth processing, breast feeding troubleshooting, postpartum depression assessment, developing a postpartum plan, optional tutorials on cloth diapering, slings and babywearing, breast pumps, and postpartum exercise and nutrition.   We’ll leave you with a great postpartum resource list.

Postpartum Appointment with Dinner Delivery $50

The same as our regular postpartum visit, only we’ll bring you a $20 Central Market meal to go (or any other cravings you might have that day).

Postpartum Doula Care Hourly Rate $22

A doula who begins providing care in your home after your birth. Such care might include cooking for your family, breastfeeding support, newborn care assistance, errands, & light housekeeping. Postpartum doulas are skilled in offering families evidence-based information and support on breastfeeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, mother-baby bonding, and skills for new parents. Postpartum doulas also help with light housework, coordinate nutritious meals for the mama, and help incorporate older children.  We offer a discount on the hourly rate for longer term engagements.


2 Hour Lactation Consultation $70

Trouble shoot any breastfeeding concerns with our certified Lactation Consultant, in your home or in our office.  Your consultation may include overcoming supply issues, anatomical variations in the breasts and infant oral anatomy, ineffective suck, incorrect latch, twins, health issues for mom and baby, and premature infants.


Birth Story Keepsake $20

The doula who attended your birth will prepare a personal birth story including a timeline of events, a play by play of labor and delivery, and other interesting and meaningful aspects of your birth.  We will send this to you in electronic copy, as well as a customized hardcopy with a photo for you to keep.

Massage (Get Babied! Clients) 1 hour $50

Clients signed up for any of our doula packages receive a $20 discount on our massage rate.  Steph been a massage therapist since 2007.  Shortly after she received her license, she became certified in Bodywork for the Childbearing Year. As a birth doula and a massage therapist specializing in pregnancy and labor, her goal is to help you have a pampered pregnancy and blissful birth.  Massage is available for dads too!  More info on massage appointments can be found here.


Massage 1 hour $70

Childbirth Basics Class 6 hours $80

An all-inclusive 8-hour course designed to empower expectant parents in their childbirth options. This class is taught monthly by our Childbirth Educator, and is recommended for all first time parents. Second time parents are also welcome for those needing a refresher course!  More specific details here.

Baby Care Basics Class 2 hours $30

This is a fun interactive 1.5 hour class designed to teach you the skills you need for those first weeks with your baby. The class is taught by a certified doula/certified mom.  More information about the class here.


Breastfeeding Class 2 hours $30

An informative 1.5-hour course designed to aid the expectant parents in getting breastfeeding off to a good start. This class is taught monthly by our Breastfeeding Educator or Certified Lactation Consultant, and is recommended for any woman who is thinking about nursing her baby.


All You Can Read Bookstore Pass $45

Select any books from our partner bookstore, UsedIsBetter.com, to read and enjoy throughout your pregnancy.  It’s like a library, but you don’t have to return the books.

Preferred Doula Guarantee $100

Guarantee the doula you prefer is on-call for you, attends your birth, and attends all of your prenatal and postpartum visits.  The upgrade fee covers the additional expense of attending births outside of the doulas regular schedule.  Since most of us have children this usually goes to our childcare fund.  If for some reason your upgraded doula does not make it to your birth (she is at another upgraded birth) the regular on-call doula would attend your birth and your upgrade fee would be refunded.

Apprentice Doula Preference -$150

If you decide to have a Get Babied! Apprentice Doula attend your birth, your doula service package will be discounted by $150.  For example the Get Babied! package becomes $149.  All of our apprentice doulas are trained by DONA, and have attended at least 3 births.  They are mentored by our Certified Doulas.

Mileage Upcharge

Doulas will meet you in early labor in your home if you would like them to. If your home is outside of the Austin city limits, the following upcharge will apply:

San Marcos/Buda/Kyle/New Braunfels – $50

Bastrop/Smithville – $50

Wimberley/Dripping Springs – $50

Marble Falls/Burnet/Liberty Hill – $50

Elgin/Taylor – $50

Salado/Belton/Temple/Killeen – $50


Lakeway/Liberty Hill/Leander/Georgetown – $25


Cedar Park/Round Rock – $0

Refund

For any reason you decide you no longer want a doula to attend your birth, your entire doula fee is refunded in full ($299).   Get babied! is home of the 100% refund policy.  If a service is not performed, you will not be billed.

Late Fees

A 10% late charge on any unpaid balance after 60 days.  We do have payment plan options, 50% of balance owed is due on or before delivery.  The remainder is due within 30 days of delivery.
