The Get Babied! doulas are certified with four certifying organizations:  DONA International (Ame Shillington and Stephanie Scott), Birth Arts International (Erica Hope), TOLABOR (Stephanie Scott) and IBCLC (Janet Jones).

DONA International (http://www.dona.org/) is an international, non-profit organization of doulas that strives to have every doula trained and educated to provide the highest quality and standards for birth and/or postpartum support to birthing women and their families.  DONA International is the oldest, largest and most respected doula association in the world.

Birth Arts International (http://www.birtharts.com/) is a professional organization of doulas operating on a national level, offering extensive doula, postpartum doula and advanced doula trainings. Birth Arts doula training explores the physical, scientific and spiritual aspects of birth and being a doula.

TOLABOR (http://www.tolabor.com/) stands for The Organization of Labor Assistants for Birth Options & Resources. TOLABOR, formerly known as ALACE, provides woman-centered training and certification which has exceeded national standards, bridging technical knowledge with a compassionate personal touch.

IBCLC (http://www.ibclce.org)  The International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential identifies a knowledgeable and experienced member of the maternal-child health team who has specialized skills in breastfeeding management and care. The IBLCE certification program offers the only credential in lactation consulting and is available globally.
