Yoga for Birth Pros recap
Mary Reyes began teaching the first class in her Thursday night series of Yoga for Birth Professionals. With an angle of rejuvenation and self care, the lesson plan for last evening’s class was self massage. Mary brought tennis balls for the students, and showed us how to use the ball between our own weight and the floor to massage many major muscle groups. Who knew such a tiny little yellow ball had so much power. We spent some time working on balance, working our cores, and doing some good long stretches. At the end of class we working on some mindful meditation and worked on reflecting on our intentions for the class. It was a great class, quiet, calm, dimly lit at dusk with a view of Mueller park out the windows. Hopefully all y’all reading this blog decide to skip out of it again in the next weeks because it’s pretty awesome having a small class size (but for Mary’s sake, please do come!) :) Hope to see you Thursdays at 7pm.
