Casting Call for Spanish-Speaking Breastfeeding Moms

May 31st, 2012 by Ame

Calling all Spanish-speaking breastfeeding moms, ages 18-34, who are currently breastfeeding their child.

We will be producing Spanish video testimonials for the Texas Department of State Health Service’s WIC department, as part of their “Breastmilk: Every Ounce Counts” campaign. We have already shot these in English, and you can view those here: http://www.breastmilkcounts.com/community.php

We want moms and their babies, on camera, sharing their breastfeeding stories (success stories, challenges, etc.) in Spanish. Our goal is to increase the breastfeeding rates in Texas, so that all moms are exclusively breastfeeding for six months or longer.

We will be shooting Friday, June 8 in Austin.

If you (or someone you know) are interested, please email WICGeneral@dshs.state.tx.us with your full name, age, city/state, phone number, and baby’s name and age. Please include a clear, recent photo of both you and your child in your email.

All mothers/babies who are selected for this shoot will be compensated $300 for their time.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks!
