Birth Affirmations
Yes, I am the “medical” doula. But in honor of my next client due, who would like to incorporate some hypnobirthing techniques, I have gotten in touch with my hippie side reading through “Hypnobirthing” again, and researching some guided relaxation scripts and labor visualizations.
I loved some of the affirmations I came across and wanted to share them with all of you mamas to think about them in your final weeks. These are great mantras for repetitve breathing/distraction too.

These are amazing! I used some version of “my baby and I are working in harmony” and “I can do this” and “Oh $#!%!!” LOL But of all those listed, I think “my vagina is HUGE” is awesome! What a great idea to pick out a few together with your partner, so s/he can whisper them at a much-needed moment.
Did you really say “Oh &*(%^#?!!! – I remember a calm cool collected graceful birth – but perhaps I have selective memory too. Or perhaps it was lost in the German translation.
